This should be a pretty good fight. I think Velasquez will take this one by TKO in the second round. Herring has shown he has no cardio and he won't be able to keep up with the pace of Velasquez. But how do you warrant a title shot if he wins against a mediocre Herring? I mean, when Shane Carwin knocks out Gonzaga on March 7th, you could make a case for him as the number one contender. That is the fight that most fans want to see, and isn't the UFC all about what sells tickets, not what makes the most sense???

Great match up for Velazquez, the only fighter I want to see him fight more is Dos Santos, but maybe that is down the line a little bit. Velasquez needs to do what Lesnar/Nog/and all others couldn't and stop Herring in this fight. At the least he has to be more impressive than the Carwin v Gonzaga winner to get a title shot right away. Herring is fighting for his UFC life in this one, so he should really bring it.

I hope Cain's ready. Herring's a big step up for him. Everyone who beats Herring gets a title shot, right? Isn't that how it's going? But seriously, Herring's going to be a little hungry for a win after the rape he took from Lesnar, but you have to wonder if his ego's been crushed as well as his face. I'll be cheering for Cain, but with an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wonder what the betting lines will be? Normally, Herring would be the favorite, but now maybe he's been dropped a few notches.
