Din Thomas signs three fight contract with Affliction
Former UFC lightweight competitor Din Thomas has inked a three fight contract with Affliction.
FiveOuncesOfPain.com confirmed the rumored signing with a source close to Thomas early Friday morning.
Thomas, a veteran from the fourth season of The Ultimate Fighter, is 23-8 in a pro career that dates back to 1998. The American Top Team-trained fighter holds notable wins in his career over Dokojonosuke Mishima, Jens Pulver, Matt Serra, and Clay Guida.
Competing nine times under the UFC banner, Thomas holds a lifetime record of 5-4 while competing inside of the Octagon. Thomas’ most recent bout took place on Feb. 7 for a promotion billing itself as Headhunter Productions. Facing MMA rookie Dustin Pierkin, Thomas submitted the newcomer with a triangle choke at 2:58 of round 1.
No longer a regular competitor at 155 pounds, Thomas is expected to join an Affliction featherweight division that includes L.C. Davis, Bao Quach, Mark Hominick, Deividas Taurosevicius, and Savant Young.
A debut date and a first opponent for Thomas are not yet known.

A *3* fight deal with Affliction. That’s so cute.
Very risky to sign such a deal.
This is ok i guess..
I really wanted to see him fight FW in the WEC..
This is GREAT news.
That Affliction FW Division is shaping up REAL nice.
I would like to see Affliction develop more fighters then getting in “overpaid” contracts to fighters that cannot stay in the UFC. I am not bashing Thomas, he is a name and has a lot of credibility. But for Affliction to continue, they need to have young up and comers that get paid the minimum and show their hunger for the sport. (TUF)
