Mike Brown and Leonard Garcia make weight for WEC 39 title fight

World Extreme Cagefighting is set to return Sunday night for its debut in Corpus Christi, Texas at the American Bank Center.

Eleven bouts total are set for WEC 39 with four fights slated to be televised during VERSUS’ two-plus hour telecast that will begin at 9:30 p.m. ET.

All 22 fighters made weight at today’s weigh-ins for the event. The results are as follows:

  • Mike Brown (144.25) vs. Leonard Garcia (145) for Brown’s WEC featherweight title
  • Ricardo Lamas (154.5) vs. Bart Palaszewski (155.5)
  • Chris Mickle (145) vs. Jose Aldo (145.5)
  • Rob McCullough (156) vs. Marcus Hicks (155.5)

Non-Televised Preliminary Card -

  • Phil Cardella (155.5) vs. Danny Castillo (156)

    Have 40 commercial breaks, too much pre-fight hype, and only actually show 3 fights.
