UFC comes to the home of Smokin' Joe Frazier among others, my home town, with lotsof boxing history. Never got to see the fights at the Blue Horizon but lots of tough local fighters got their start there. Great East Coast exposure for MMA, with a lot of potential for live event fan base. When New York gets wind of the tax profits and general retail windfall (lodging, food, nightlife) surrounding an event with possible attendance in the ten to fifteen thousand range, they may change their tune. Can't think of another good reason to go to Buffalo... Haven't lived in Philly since '83, but now I'm three hours south, could conceivably cruise up for a UFC event and a chance to see some live MMA.
