5 Oz. Video Interview with Nick Diaz: “There’s no such thing as bad for the sport”

FiveOuncesOfPain.com’s Jay Tan was on location in Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday for a press conference hosted by Showtime and Strikeforce in anticipation of April 11’s “Shamrock vs. Diaz” event.

After the press conference, Tan was able to catch up for Nick Diaz for an exclusive interview. During the interview Diaz responded to statements made by Frank Shamrock claiming that Diaz is bad for the sport.

Diaz is Priceless. So is Shamrock. Can’t wait for the fight.

What I really want to see is the look on Shamrock’s face when he finds out Nick took Frank’s daughter to his hotel room after the fight.

Nothing wrong with a little entertainment to go along with our cagefights.

    Stay classy Nick!

Ya know, you have to agree with the guy. He’s not the best at getting his point across but he didn’t lie. He’s a damn entertaining fighter and he and his brother really do bring it and that is all the matters.

…wow….I’d like to say I agree/disagree with him…but I’m not sure he made a single intelligible point.

    “….so what…you know…i’m not afraid to fight….you know…so what..and aahh….I’ll fight…lets fight…on account of that…you know…whatever…”

Nick may not be the most articulate guy, but he actually seemed to have a couple cogent things to say. Yes, MMA is a business, and yes, Nick is a professional fighter. His opponent is trying to minimize Nick’s ability to make a living, and that’s about as basic as it gets. The real story will unfold in the ring, and I’m pulling for the kid.

nick i love you bro, but cut down on the hydro :p, despite the fact he took the long way to make his point, his point was valid and applies to a lot fighters people love to hate. every1 is classy outside the cage, but once u step in, a true warrior lets the wolf off the leash, and thats what most people dont understand about this sport. this is fighting! ,not ballroom dancing.
