I'm surprised this won't be a ppv. The Faber/Brown rematch is the best headline event they'll have for quite a while. It would be the best candidate for WEC's entry into ppv shows.

The only thing that surprises me about this announcement is that one of the biggest fights the WEC will ever promote is scheduled so soon. Thought they'd put a little more time and effort into promoting this one.

Mike Brown showed quite a bit of power in his last two victories. I read that he walks around over 160, and obviously doesn't lose too much strength cutting to 145.

Uriah Faber has proven to be one of the most complete fighters in all of MMA. His striking has improved greatly, his wrestling is among the best, and his conditioning, proven in his five round title defense against Jens Pulver, is unparalelled.

Faber made a serious error against Brown the first time, and this should be his opportunity to demonstrate an ability to learn from his mistakes. It will take a great game plan to overcome Brown's size and possible strength advantage, and I look forward to a great tactical and strategic battle.

My thought would be that if Uriah can survive the first couple of rounds, taking Brown into the latter part of the five round fight, he stands a great chance of submitting Brown on the ground. I think a standup kickboxing match would be a mistake, given Brown's reach advantage and obvious punching power. Not that Mike Brown is a slouch in the submission game, but the way Faber scrambles and rolls into sub attempts, applying effective ground and pound when he can, makes me think that's his advantage in this matchup. If Brown successfully defends his title, I think we'll see him wear the WEC featherweight belt for some time to come.
