Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs. Mustapha Al-Turk confirmed for UFC 99

Guess who’s back! After an enormous amount of speculation following a bulletin on Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic‘s personal website that stated he would be making his return to the UFC against Mustapha Al-Turk at 99, the organization has finally made the announcement of the bout official this afternoon.

This will mark Cro Cop’s first return to MMA since stopping Korean goliath Hong Man Choi at K-1 Dynamite which was held on New Years Eve 2008. His previous time spent with the UFC was widely seen as a huge disappointment following an Octagon record of 1-2.

Not surprising at this point, but it is good to see Cro Cop back in UFC.

Any word on what happened to Todd Duffee, the original opponent for Al-Turk? He seems like another young talent for the HW division.

I heard they were going to move him (Duffee) to the UFC 101 card, but not sure who he was going to fight though.
