If it were on the street, while you are in the guard just trying to double overhook arms and cause a stalemate, the guy will bite your neck, knee you in the sack, pinch you, or anything to get you to move. In the sanctioned events, they can’t do that, but realize that we are looking for a no holds barred fight. So fight like your life depends on it instead of depending on the win. And when you fight for the finish, you usually outscore the opponent if you can’t finish him; or you actually do finish him.
