Tito is a big guy and I bet he walks around at 215 or 220. I think a catch weight between him and any heavyweight would be entertaining. But lets see some plan of action. Lets see him fight and impress before Fedor. Tito just likes the spotlight and the cameras. I like fights and not Hollywood.

I wouldn’t say my feelings for Ortiz is pathetic. Just holding the guy accountable for his antics and actions. Where are my factual errors on Ortiz? Next time instead of saying I’m wrong, put it in your post. Ortiz has not won a fight since Oct 2006. That is near 33 months ago. He also called UFC fighters slaves to the UFC during the 84 press conferance. He was refering to money(I believe), but these are fighters and not slaves to a corporation. I don’t have a personal hatred for the guy because I don’t know him. What I do know his that the guy is a clown and that he talks a lot of shit for not having any kind of current impact on MMA. He calls out all these fighters and never fights. I do admit to bashing him on other posts, but I do that because its easy and I like it. Its fun to poke at a clown and throw things at them.

Listen I know people get confused by weight classes thinking one guy is too small to compete with this guy in a higher weight class.
As was the case in the Diaz/Frank Shamrock fight. People thought Diaz was going to be out sized because Frank fights at middleweight and as it turned out Diaz was the bigger fighter.
This is another case of that. Go back and look at the pictures of the Affliction Day of Reckoning press conference with Tito and Fedor together. Tito is the larger man. He cuts weight to make 205. And no I’m not saying Tito wins so don’t try and twist my comments around.

I’ll give Tito a lot of latitude, but the idea that he could compete with Fedor is silly. If Fedor was motivated, that fight would be shorter than his fight with Sylvia. Tito doesn’t have the size to grapple with Fedor, and he damn sure doesn’t have the chin to strike with him. I’m not sure anybody does.

Who the hell is this PlagueAngel? You obviously have a personal vendetta against Ortiz because you have gone out of your way to bash him in numerous posts.
You’ve done it repeatedly in past topics many of which had nothing to do with Ortiz but you seemed to steer the topic around to your personal hatred for the guy anyway. It’s pathetic.

Whether you hate his personality or you’re just a Dana White mark the bottom line is he’s a legend in this sport and held a UFC Championship longer than anyone else in history.
Also you should do a little research before posting some of the comments you’ve made because your posts contain many factual errors.

As a celebrity/personality, Tito may be wanting, but as the all-time leader in title defenses for the lightheavy weight division of the UFC, he remains a formidable former champion.

If Tito can recover from the surgery he went through last October, re-enter full time MMA training, and bring his full attention to fighting, he could definitely give the LHW division in Strikeforce a major boost. That is if this purported deal with Strikeforce actually materializes…

To quote Dana White at the UFC 84 press conferance. “Tito wants to be a superstar, these guys want to be fighters”. Ortiz embarrissed himself against Machida. The pre fight trash talk, the weigh-in t-shirt, the sunglasses, his performance, and especially the after fight press conferance. I have Chuck and Wandy ahead of Ortiz because they fight. Instead of claiming to be king of the world, they try to earn their reputation. Ortiz is all talk and no results. Calling UFC fighters “slaves” is pathetic in my book.

Also, I don’t think Fedor will be concerned about Tito’s “dangerious” elbows. Fedor has evolved him game beyond his match 8 years ago against Arona. Ortiz has shown very little evolution in the last four years imo. How anyone can defend Ortiz at this point is beyond me.

His Ground Game is great but so is Tito’s especially on top. Ricardo Arona controlled Fedor for most of the fight, so Tito (“could”) do the same. Probably not but could.Tito is also a much stronger wrestler than Arona, and Fedor has never had to deal with the elbows from a wrestler the Caliber of Tito.

And to your last point “He was embarrased by Machida”…EVERYONE is embarrassed by Machida.

He is NOT top ten. No wins in 33 months takes him out of competition. Who is in your top 10 “edub”? I mean, good god man. He does not matchup well against Fedor. Fedor’s clinch, striking, and ground game are light years ahead of Ortiz. He was embarrissed in front of everyone against Machida. He is the clown prince of MMA with his antics and trash talking. If Ortiz is in great shape, his ground and pound is always dangerious. If he does not sign with Strikeforce soon, what little credibility he has left will be put into the shitcan.

The guy is still a badass fighter top ten imo after he smashes(lnps) babalu.

Tito has only ever been embarrassed by two fighters after the F.Shamrock fight. Randy and Chuck who are absolute nightmare matchups for him. He beat Forrest, Fucked himself over against Rashad, and lost to Lyoto. Hell be back and he matches up well with every 205er not in the UFC and he matches up with Fedor well(see the Ricardo Arona fight.
