There will be no more verbal agreements for Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic as far as the UFC is concerned.
UFC President Dana White did something he never had before when he negotiated a verbal three fight deal with Cro Cop just prior to the Croatian knockout artist’s recent return to the octagon against Mustapha al Turk.
A three fight deal that was supposed to have been thrown under the bus on Filopovic’s end after reports surfaced that he had signed a contract with the Japanese DREAM organization.
UFC chairman Lorenzo Fertitta had been reported to have travelled to Croatia recently where he had a private meeting with Mirko.
Those talks must have gone well as Dana White has recently reported to Kevin Iole from Yahoo! Sports that Cro Cop has officially been inked to a three fight deal with the UFC.
Cro Cop has been scheduled to return to the octagon on September 19 at UFC 103 against Junior dos Santos.
