Report on McCrory & Leites returning to the UFC was bogus
It now appears as though the recent report from Kevin Iole over at Yahoo! Sports about Tamdan McCrory and Thales Leites being back in the UFC was nothing but hot air.
According to a recent report on mixedmartialarts.coma representative for McCrory has been recently contacted by UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to refute the news of McCrory’s return to the UFC.
Leites also remains ousted from the promotion according to a recent report on MMAJunkie.com.
Apparently UFC President Dana White’s statements were misinterpreted by Iole. The statement quoted by White in the report was, “They won’t be cut”, four short words that would seem to be very difficult to misquote.

Haha. Not a bad idea. Move McCrory up to middleweight and make him fight a loser-gets-fired match against Leites.
The stipulation (to give McCrory a fighting change): If you want to fight on the ground, you have to TRY and TAKE the fight to the ground. Flopping yourself on your back results in a point penalty.

I just noticed this story and all I can say is leave it to Kevin Iole to completely fuck this up.
It reminds me that Kevin was trying to defend himself from criticism that he’s a biased reporter when he was on with Dana during the ESPN radiothon and Dana saying on that 24 hour radiothon that I get along with Kevin because he’s one of the few reporters who makes sure a story is 100 percent accurate before he runs with it.

It looks like it is a death sentence to be given a title shot because of the focus and expectations it places on a fighter. Maia must be afraid he will be next. Hype you up and then toss you aside once your money making ability has dwindled.
