“M-1 Global: Breakthrough” Weigh-In Results

King MoThe weigh-ins for “M-1 Breakthrough” are in the books with few hitches outside of a a little pre-fight action that ensued between Karl Amoussou and John Doyle.

When the two squared off with one another following weigh-in’s for photograph opportunities, Amoussou tried his best to intimidate his opponent by butting heads with Doyle. After being separated the French knockout specialist went right back at it before being warned against doing it again from Doyle himself. When it was apparent that Doyle’s warning was somehow being lost in translation by Amoussou, the man known as “The Iron Bull” showed how he got his nickname and greeted Karl with a forehead charge of his own. Needless to say the photo shoot was cut short.

Headlining the card, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal tipped the scales at a solid 219 pounds while being out-weighed by Mark Kerr, who came in at the 263 pound mark.

“M-1 Global: Breakthrough” is set for tomorrow evening, Friday, August 28, from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, and will air live on HDNet.

    I’m glad to see Kerr is in some semblance of shape. He’s been heavier in his most recent fights.
    Lawal is such a stud if Kerr gets hurt bad it’s going to be sad.
    Watching the Smashing Machine when it first came out got me that much more hooked as a fan.
    For all fight fans that haven’t seen the Doc. I highly recommend seeing it. Even if you’re not a fan of Kerr it’s definitely worth watching.

    How serious are the fighters taking this card? That many people that far over the limit is ridiculous.

    Andria Caplan: Is that Sam’s wife? I’ve had my head down for a couple of months with work. If it is, WAR ANDRIA!

    @bigdave

    You’re not the only one. I completely agree with you. The crown, cape, and medallion are fine but the nipple rings are an eyesore.
