Antonio Rogerio Nogueira expected to make Octagon debut at UFC 105

antonio-rogerio-nogueiraWhile nothing has been made official, it appears as though Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will be making his Octagon debut in Manchester, England on November 21 at UFC 105.

The news comes courtesy of a recent report from the Fighter’s Only magazine official website.

The UFC has yet to announce a venue for UFC 105, but it is widely expected to take place at the Manchester Evening New Arena.

The light-heavyweight twin brother of UFC heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has etched out a position for himself amongst the top fighters in the division after compiling a professional record of 17-3, while winning his last five in a row. Nogueira has put together impressive victories over the likes of Alistair Overeem, Dan Henderson and Vladimir Matyushenko during the course of his career fighting for various promotions including PRIDE, Affliction and Sengoku.

Luiz Cane was also the first name that shot into my head. He isn’t set for any fights right now ad that’d make for a great war. I also think Brandon Vera would put on a good show with him, if he’s up to fighting again soon.

I’m wondering if they’re going to put him in there with a newcomer to get the UFC fan base up to date on him, or if they’re going to throw him right in with top competition..

    I hope it’s the latter..

Actually, I don’t care.. I like watching this guy fight..

It’s about damn time ! What’s been the hold up anyway? Plenty of decent match ups for him in the UFC that’s for sure.Good deal !

They might throw him a new comer to help build his name, but with him being such an exact copy of his brother, that will probably be more than enough to get his name out there to the American fans.

I hope they put him up against top 15 competition right away though.

If Randy drops back down to 205 that would be a good fight to see. Easy to market as well.
