IDK why they gassed sobad. But, Schaub was right, rampage was having them do 3 a days making them jog at 6am in the morning. I mean jog miles and thats stupid training for big huys. Esp. if they are fighting in a couple days that kills your body and cardio. I know Wes made statements about the running killing his knees. As for James, IDK. I was surprised by how he fought the entire time. He seemed to be more running for his life and running away. Thats only thing I think that made them tired. Wes took to many kicks and chased James. James just ran when Wes got to close.

I agree dpk (terrible decision). Shivers scored several takedowns and controlled James from the top for substantial amounts of time. Every other MMA fight I've ever watched, this is a formula to win (not always exciting to watch). Takedowns usually score many more points than strikes. James landed some great kicks and punches, but it didn't seem to be nearly enough, in my opinion.

I also wondered why these guys gassed. This happens a lot on the show, and typically, the quality of fighting on TUF is usually pretty bad.

Shaub was saying in his blog, that Rampage was over training his guys, and that was probably why Shivers gassed so badly. That decision was terrible, I don't see anyway that you could have McSweeny winning the first round, but Shiver's was about to die so McSweeny probably would have won anyway.

Same question as JollyDV. I wasn't too surprised that Shivers gassed because of his size and comparative inexperience, but I was very surprised by McSweeny's lack of conditioning. With a record like that I expected a quicker, sustained pace.
