I think Fitch would make a great coach, but considering the UFC has tried their damndest to never give Fitch any spotlight or hype, I don’t reckon they would do that.

But I stick by my previous post, if the level of competition is so low that people like Abe Wagner or Wes Sims get on, then you really need to give it a bit of a break. They’ve talked about falling ratings for so long that if they took their time and got a great roster of fighters for their seasons, it would really breathe new life into it.

if they don’t figure out the mw contender scenario out any time soon i’d like to see marquardt coach since he needs the exposure and seems like he would be a great coach.i don’t know who else they could have coach maybe john fitch or mike swick?

matt and rich already coached tuf 2 together but yeah i would love to see dan hornbuckle or jason high in there and even gerald harris.they need to really search for some REAL TALENTED FIGHTERS that deserve to be in the ufc.Does anybody know somebody who might possibly try for this next season of tuf?

Oh and coaches like Matt Hughes and Rich Franklin would be perfect for a season like this. It could be marketed as legendary coaches train the next generation of greatest fighters in the world. The star power of Rich and Matt would be enough to pull in the casual fan and the talent level talked about by the hardcores would be enough to keep the fan there.

Man this could be awesome if they can bring in the right guys. There are awesome up and coming wws and mws. Imagine if they brought guys in like Ben Askren, Galvao, Jason High, Che Mills, Zaromskis, Jim Walhead, and/or Dan Hornbuckle. If they put in the work and maybe fatten the existing contract of the TUF winner than they could make an INSANELY talented season. Maybe even have a few other older TUF participants in there like Gerald Harris or some guys who have already fought in the UFC like Johnny Hendricks. I know its a stretch but Joe fought on TUF and that was right after he KOd Jens Pulver.

i agree this show should only air a season a year if that……Im also excited to see that there using WW and MW….that could be good for those divisions….

Makington good points but i would only say it is only starting now. last tuff with the UK vs US was good imo and had some talent in there as well. maybe taking a break might add to the mystique but i love watching and cant get enough. but so far from what i can see this one talent wise is shit

I think they’ve been beating the piss out of this show for a bit too long. Now I’m not saying they should completely stop, since this show is one of the reasons there are still going to be big name fighters in the future (unlike boxing) but having 2 shows a year has really lowered the level of skill on the show. For the past few seasons, we’ve seen the level take a considerable drop off in skill and talent. Does anyone really expect to see another Rashad, or Diego come out of the show? Maybe if they took a bit of a break they would have better fighters, better ratings, and better drama when they came back.

It’s sort of frustrating watching the early seasons where every fighter has legit skills and then seeing people like Abe Wagner flop lifelessly on the ground for 15 minutes.

i like the idea of 170-185. Rush is running out of guys to destroy and once nate beats silva and then silva goes to 205 or retires then there is really only belfort left there.

I think they did it right with the Heavies this season. Get a couple pro fighters (Nelson, Wessel, Junk), some personalities (Kimbo, Sims), some crossovers to draw attention (Shivers, Jones, Schaub, Mitrione) and some up and comers.

135 and 145 would be Awesome, and it would be a great lead in to bringing those weight classes into UFC. Brown and Bowles, or Faber and Torres would make awesome coaches.

Maybe by season 12 they can get 145 and 135 in there for WEC. Would love to see those low wieght classes get some love. Could get Faber and Torres to coach it would be the shit.

By the time the winner of TUF 11 is ready to make an impact, Anderson Silva will be retired. That being said, I think that is a good call for the next two weight classes. I’d like to see them go back to HWs for TUF 12, even if they do it in combination with LHWs, just so they keep adding depth to the HW division.
