Exclusive: Roger Bowling Signs With Strikeforce
Undefeated welterweight wrecking machine “Relentless” Roger Bowling has become the latest in a wave of cream of the crop prospect signings from Strikeforce.
FiveOuncesofPain.com recently received news of the signing through sources close to the situation.
Sporting an unblemished record of 6-0, Bowling has yet to see the judges scorecards in his professional career, finishing four of his bouts by either KO or TKO, and the other two by way of submission.
One notable win on Bowling’s record just so happens to be over the 9-1 Shamar Bailey who was also recently scooped up by Strikeforce. A rematch between the two under the Strikeforce banner seems like an inevitability.
FiveOuncesofPain.com was also able to learn that Bowling’s debut with the promotion was expected to be in Novemeber before an injury scratched him from that date.

never heard of him but good to see young fighters getting signed and not just fighters with a name

Good for him but i will admit this guy is new to me but he looks in shape and youth is never a bad thing to add to an organization trying to solidify its brand.

SF seems to be trying to sign a lot of prospects up before they reach the experience level where UFC will be interested in them. This is a good way for them to fill their challengers series, and give these guys some better exposure.

Looks like a beast for a welterweight. I’ve heard the name before but I admit I’ve never seen his fights. Good signing though

I’ve seen this guy fight before and he is a beast. GREAT pickup by STrikeforce. He currently has some beef with War Machine, so making a War Machine vs Bowling fight would be really good, along with Shamar Bailey. These guys are in the same weight class as Tyron Woodley, so Strikeforce is doing BIG things to develop their weight classes.
