Phil Baroni: $25,000… wow. If i was a fighters manager and saw this I would be livid. He got paid more than both Anthony Johnson and Jacob Volkman combined.
thats what i was thinking dub.
how does that happen??
Johnson and Baroni are under the same management.
It’s all about the timing of when you sign your contract. Baroni just signed his so naturally he’s making more than a guy, like Johnson, who signed his contract a few fights ago. If “Rumble” signed a new deal today I’m pretty sure he’d be making more than the NYBA per bout.
didnt know they were under the same management. Still I can be a human punching bag for that kind of money lol
C’mon now, $17K for Johnson and he’s in the Co-Main Event??
Not that suprising he’s probably on his original contract or if he signed a new contract after around 5 fights he was 4-1 with a loss that really shouldn’t have been one.
If I understand this correctly, Griffin had to win in order to earn 250k, but Ortiz got that much despite losing. I wonder how much Ortiz would’ve earned if he’d won. And I wonder if Griffin is happy about it, especially since he’s as popular as Ortiz, and maybe more so.
Johnson 17k ? Can’t be right. Strikeforce pays as much as the list above. WEC guys don’t get paid shit. No wonder Dan Henderson and Strikeforce is in the air.
