That doesn't surprise me. I mean of course Overeem wants Hari under MMA rules...Badr isn't an MMA fighter. It would be a massacre. But I am so pleased to see the K-1 getting so much love from 5 oz! That is so sweet! ...and at the same time, thanks for passing on news about MFC 23. That show was horrendous. Still haven't watched the whole thing yet. It was THAT bad.

Iconoclastic: I Don’t think I would call that a KO. Stunned yes, KO no. Seemed like a quick stoppage. Although, he prob. would gotten KTFO eventually. The fact that he hasn’t been stripped of the belt is ridiculous. Boxing for all the crap it taken over the years hasn’t had a similar situation (at least with the elite titles). I say with the UFC most likely doing a get a HVY WGT tournament (with Brock on the IL) SF should allow their HVWHTS to shine and have their own tournament. This is one division where they could actually compete with UFC and treat everyone to some kickass fights for free.

I was thinking that as well. This would be the perfect time to strike while several of the UFC's top HWs are sidelined with injuries or illnesses, and if they do it properly, they could easily win over a ton of newer or uninitiated fans. To the general public, the heavyweight division is the most important and it has been since the dawn of organized combat sports.

if he would have undergone massive strength training, when was he training for fights then? its not like he took a pause to work up his frame or something, he just ‘grew’ massively while still fighting, and he – by chance – didnt fought in usa in this period.
but even if you could say hes a natural freak and he just gained it (and never lost it) while doing cardio and preparing for fights, that would still not explain the story his face is trying to tell. i mean, he looked pretty normal a few years ago, you could even say he looked good. now he reminds me more of King Koopa.

H3ro: Allistair doesn’t deserve to be StrikeForce champion. He can’t even win the K-1 Grand Prix(on roids, not confirmed) after talking all this smack, he doesn’t back it up. When I see Allistair, he reminds me of a typical juicer. Be a man, defend that useless belt. 3 years and no championship fight is plain ridiculous. He should have been stripped a long time ago.

you know what strenght training is.its all speculation with overeem,he always has the wide shoulders and long arms he couldnt cut the 50 pounds anymore to do lhw.it sucks that he never defended it.but now that sf is bigger he will be back finally cant wait. when he waswon the belt they didnr have any hw,now look werum,fedor,brett,big foot,aa,maybe kharitonov, we should knock the guys that have been found guilty instead of the speculated

cant agree more Dufresne, and in my eyes strikeforce stultifies itself with not touching his belt and not making him fight. and i dont understand it, its not like they have no one else in the division. its just my feeling that the status of the sf hw belt gets weaker and weaker by every month that sf just waits.

I completely agree that he should have been stripped of his SF belt a while ago, but how does him losing in K1 have anything to do with him not being qualified to be an MMA champ? I didn’t hear anyone calling for Fedor’s P4P ranking when he lost a Sambo match a little while ago.

But seriously Alistair, you’ve had your fun with kickboxing, get your ass back into MMA. You’re a champion of one of the larger MMA promoters in the world, and yet you haven’t defended in over 2 years. That might be forgivable if you had been injured or sick, but you’ve had 6 MMA fights, none of them for the orginization you hold the belt from, and 5 kickboxing bouts since your fight with Buentello. WTF are you doing?

If I were Scott Coker I would have either stripped you of your belt a year ago or at the very least, established an interim belt.
