Pudzian’s MMA Debut: Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. Marcin Najman (Video)
As anticipated, 5X World Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski recently made his professional fighting debut in Warsaw, Poland as the headliner for KSW 12.
Capturing the Worlds Strongest Man honors on a record setting five occasions during the years of 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2008, Pudzianowski is also commonly referred to as Pudzian, Super Mario, Dominator and the Big Python. The massively proportioned heavyweight has been studying and training in martial arts since just eleven years of age, beginning in Karate before training in competitive boxing for over seven years running.
Check out the debut of the Big Python below…
A little sloppy sure, but keep in mind it’s his debut. Either way, there’s no question about it, dude can fight. How far he can go in the sport is a big question mark right now, but if Brock can make a full recovery, and Pudzian can get a couple legit wins under his belt…. I’m just saying.

What a beast. I’ve been following him for a long time in the world’s strongest man comps and have always liked super mario. Now here’s someone who could push Brock around with relative ease. Hopefully he can pass the drug tests and learn to keep his hands up while he’s throwing those leg kicks.
Or better still sign up with strikeforce and take on Fedor.
Either way he’s a very interesting prospect that’s for sure.
Well-Done.

Those leg kicks looked nasty! Definitely not a bad debut.
I don’t think he’s ready for Brock or Fedor, he’s incredibly strong, but the majority of his life hasn’t been spent studying a combat sport as those two’s have. He’s 32, so he’s getting slightly late start, but it still gives him more than enough time to develop into a monster of a fighter. With his brute strength it shouldn’t be too hard for him to learn a few techniques and just let him maul people.
Well-Done.

I don’t think he could ever clear a pre-fight test. Also, any idea what his weight was?

He looks big and strong, but pudz was amped for this fight. If he wouldn’t have ended this fight early I am positive he would have passed out after the first round.
He’s big and strong, but waay too stiff yet. Big fella is gonna have a problem with gassing trying to feed those muscles if he doesn’t control his heart rate better.
Looks like a beast for the future, though.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Japan would love this guy. Hopefully he can get 2-3 more wins, and then UFC will at least give him a shot. His pure strength makes him a difficult challenge for anyone, and his marketability in his home country also has to make him very attractive.

He looked good for a debut and I suppose its the right sort of performance to send a message out there from a marketability point of view. Slick near armbar by the ref!

Hello People, I’m from Poland,
and i must say cople words about Mariusz Pudzianowski,
” but the majority of his life hasn’t been spent studying a combat sport as those two’s have”
this is not true, sience he was 12, he start training karate, he treined box for 7 years.
The trening to this fight he starting every day at 6 o’clock.. for 2 months he loose 17kg… that;s whe hes so damn fast!
drugs…no way, this is too big party, Big power not always comes from drugs.. but sametimes from hard work, if Mariusz doing something, He doing this with all heart,( cople months ago he was in program.. something like “you can dance” and he dancing very good
he have have natural predispose to fight sports..
forgive me my poor english

You can paste links if they don’t direct anyone to anything illegal or unsafe for work, and you can’t paste links to other MMA sites, other than that you’re good. Thanks - Staff

@Agi
source: wikipedia
‘He initially finished third in the WSM contest in 2004 but was later disqualified after testing positive for a banned performance enhancing substance. He was forced to return his prize money, stripped of the International Federation of Strength Athletes points from the event, and received a one-year ban from competition. Pudzianowski did not dispute his banned substance violation and waived his right to have his stool sample verified.[citation needed] He then returned to win the title for a third time in 2005.’
question remains, did he slipped and used it once, or did he just fail to get it out of his system soon enough? im not saying he is on juice right now, but you cannot say he never took nothing.
Well-Done.

Give him a secret supply of clean urine and a couple of gimmie fight wins in the UFC and then throw this man into the cage with Brock so we can see them collide like two bull elephants that make the ground shake under them.

Pudzianowski vs. Lesner
That would be interesting. However Mariusz needs to move up a long way yet to get arranged fight with likes of Brock.
All I know if this guys remains in MMA can have great career ahead. I have been live to his 3 world’s strongest man contest and seen him live during training session. Mariusz is insane, his strenght is next to none. Mariusz can lift over 200 lbs in one hand. I think Brock, however very strong, can’t compare to Mariusz. Pudzianowski will crush him. But it all depends on technique and hits, not just sheer power. If mariusz gets 1 or 2 precise hits landed on his head he’s done. When his was kicking that poor fella around the ring during this debut, any experienced MMA will land few punches on his face, easily. When Mariusz grabs anybody, be that Brock or Fedor, that guy is in a big trouble, telling you. It’s like bear fighting human. Doesn’t matter human has technique and bear not. Strenght is overpowering. I’m looking forward to see more of Pudzinowski, this guy has achieved all was there to achieve in strongest man contest, he is serious about his job and will put 150% into fights too, I’m sure.
Well-Done.

OMG! u r fools who think that this stupid “mass of protein” can ever reach the FEDOR in SPEED or technic!! who said something about fight between animals like bear with human, or some think like : oooh…there is no way to fight against bear or Pudzian is incrbl. strong… it’s sh………t!!!! BEAR is dangerous couse hi got BIG NAILS , SHARP TEETH AND STRONG JAWS! I think Mario don’t have any….))) His brute STR mean NOTHING … U can lift 500KG but ur punches can be weak!! I think u r far away from Mart.Arts))))and u r naive if u think that brute power is more important than technique and skills that improve only in fighting. For example Fedor Have three trainings per day for years and years ! his boxing skills is very unique and it’s very difficult for his apponent to adapt to it!Plus Fedor perfectly use his weight and weight of his apponent ! Main principle of SAMBO that Fedor USE perfectly is to use strength of opponent against him self!
An d u really think that Mario have a chance to beat Fedor, or Lesnar?))LOOOL!)
