A welcome addition. Good deal. We didn’t even have to wait long to see him in action.

Who could the opponent be? Hmmmm. If it’s Lashley he could be in trouble on the ground. If it’s Walker…….well, nite nite Hersh. Of course Lashley is a HW, so that’s probably out. Plus they wouldn’t want to tarnish their new fighters just yet I bet. Walker is listed as a HW too though, so maybe it’s neither of them. Could it end up being Dan Henderson? Both LHWs.

  2. Makington says:

Why not Robbie Lawler like they were talking about? He didn’t have an opponent to fight just recently at Evolution so he has to be in shape and injury free. Not to mention there’s already been a lot of hype for this fight so it would be easy as pie to promote, and you’d be guaranteed KOotN, and FotN.

I’m sure we’ll find out around the 25th though.

  3. Guthookd says:

Lawlor. I didn’t think of him. You’re probably right. That is actually a great match up too. Both hard hitting strikers.

  4. Scottish_MMA_fan says:

I could be wrong but im almost sure that there was a video on the ‘tube a few weeks ago with coker at the evolution post-presser talking about lawler and his removal from the card, and he said that he probably wouldnt be fighting on the miami card as he had a child on the way right around that time. I could be wrong though but i think thats what was said.

  5. Nick Havok says:

    Nobody can stand with Melvin…

    Except maybe that Anderson guy.

Could you guys imagine what would happen if they fought? I orgasmed just thinking about it.

  6. Jstew3785 says:

you give them too much credit Makington…. it’ll probably be at the weigh ins.

  7. Makington says:

Haha sorry Jstew, thought I’d be nice.

  8. felrod says:

Does anybody know if he is going to train at a more ground-centric gym than Mike’s for part of his training camp and which one it is?

I’d like to see King Mo and Melvin at 205.

  9. Connor Cobain says:

Ok note to Five Ounces of Pain. Please replace this picture because I always think hes going to rape me when I look at his picture. He’s one of those guy bikers you actually scarred of.

  10. Connor Cobain says:

Sorry spell check, gay not guy and your not you.

  11. Rece Rock says:

No opponent has been named for Manhoef …. what else is new?! SF’s tombstone will read TBA….

  12. JAI says:

Great match-up I think. I’m almost 100% sure, that the judges WILL NOT be needed for this fight. Some one is going to SLEEP!!!

felrod: Does anybody know if he is going to train at a more ground-centric gym than Mike’s for part of his training camp and which one it is?I’d like to see King Mo and Melvin at 205.

He has talked about how when he’s in America he trains at ATT, which he also said was tremendous for his ground game. He’s also said that when he trains at home, which is 99% of the time, he doesn’t do crap all for his ground game.

I like seeing him at 185 though, he’s a little small for 205. Atleast at 185 he can muscle out of some takedowns, but at 205 it would be too easy.
