I’ll admit, as a pretty hardcore MMA fan, I still didn’t know much about Manhoef til recently, but after watching some highlights, this guy is mike tyson-like with his small size, speed, and insane punching power. It hurts to watch his punches. He’ll be damn exciting to watch.

I didn’t think this fight was a surprise at all. It’s one of the few fights that make such perfect sense that you HAVE to put it on. It is easily of my most looking forward to fights, along with Diaz/Zaromskis on the same card. It’s going to be a great, free night.

I’m pulling for Melvin to win because his striking is inhuman.

This should be a classic brawl. Both guys are known for knocking opponents out and being terrible on the ground. I give the edge to Melvin in the power game when it comes to striking but give the edge to lawler for accuracy and reach

This card is pretty stacked! Scott Coker and Strikeforce are doing a good job at putting together some great cards. However, they just need to work on setting the fights way more in advance so they can better promote, gain better media coverage and the fighters can prepare much better.

this is definitely going to be a fun fight to watch. I agree that Lawler shoud go for the takedown

Also, I’ve heard that Bobby Lashley is supposedly fighting Shane Del Rosario and that should be a great test to see where Lashley is at because Del Rosario is 9-0

He doesn’t have great ground skills, but from what I’ve seen, Manhhoef doesn’t have any.If he doesn’t try to get this off the feet, someone is going to sleep, and probably on the medical suspension list. Lawler has good striking and excellent power, but we’ve seen him get KO’d by Diaz who is no where near as powerful as Manhoef is.

Manhoef said in an interview recently that because his team doesn't have the facilities he doesn't even train grappling at all. I think you're right......love to see Lawlor win by submission......priceless.

I think Melvin takes this one, but who knows this is truly a case of whom ever beats the other to the punch….literally.

It’s good to see Strikeforce putting Manhoef right in the fire for his first fight with them. This card is shaping up to be awesome.
