UFC 108 sells 8000 tickets for $1.97 million gate

According to figures just released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, January 2nd’s showdown between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and rising contender Thiago Silva sold 8,004 tickets for a total gate of $1,969,670. However, Evans’ closely-contested decision victory over the Brazilian, as well as wins for Paul Daley and Junior dos Santos, were actually witnessed by approximately 13,000 fans in the arena due to more than 40% of the attendees being considered complimentary guests. The NSAC reported 5314 “comps” were issued while 599 tickets for the event went unsold.

    Get to know someone at the arena or at a radio station. Thats how i got my $600 comps for ufc 102 here in portland.
