The UFC is in the process of securing one of the fastest rising prospects in Canada as FiveOuncesofPain.com has recently been able to discover that Claude Patrick is in negotiations to become the newest addition to the promotion’s talent-filled roster.
FiveOuncesofPain.com has recently learned the UFC is currently negotiating to bring Patrick to the promotion from sources close to the situation.
Sources further indicated to 5 Oz. that Claude’s debut will most likely take place at UFC 115, which is expected to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on June 12.
The submission specialist with a career record of 11-1 is a veteran of the IFL promotion where he competed for the Toronto Dragons.
The sole loss on Claude’s resume came at 185 pounds in only his second professional bout at the hands of Drew McFedries, where Patrick normally competes at the 170 pound mark.
Patrick has finished every one of his victories on his own terms, with eight wins coming by way of submission and the remaining three being finished via KO or TKO. Claude has also finished nine of his eleven wins in the opening round.

I don’t remember seeing his IFL fights, but it sounds like he has well rounded skills. I look forward to his first UFC fight.
Well-Done.

I only remember one of his IFL fights, and it didn’t last too long. This guy has good talent and will add a much needed new face into the WW division.
I wonder if they’ll throw him in with a big name or if they’ll start him out “easy.”

They’ll probably start him off easy they wanted him on the card to have a canadian star on the card to help drum up some more attention…
