Sarah Kaufman was crowned the first ever Strikeforce female welterweight champion last evening with a one sided decision victory over Takayo Hashi during “Strikeforce Challengers: Kaufman vs. Hashi“.

The co-main event of the evening ended in controversy after an eye poke to Karl Amoussou from Trevor Prangley forced a technical draw in the very first round.
