Exclusive: K.J. Noons likely for June Strikeforce debut
EliteXC lightweight champion K.J. Noons is preparing himself for his highly anticipated Strikeforce debut expoected for June.
Sources close to the situation recently confirmed the news with FiveOuncesofPain.com.
Noons recently returned to MMA action in March during DREAM 13 with a unanimous decision over feared Muay Thai specialist Andre “Dida” Amade. Prior to his recent return to the sport, K.J. had spent the bulk of the two previous two years focusing on his boxing career.
Widely known as one of the best lightweights in the sport along with being one of the most devastating power punchers in mixed martial arts, Noons is currently riding a four-fight win streak that includes impressive stoppages over the likes of Nick Diaz abd Yves Edwards.
No opponent has been set for Noons as of this time.
While not made official through Strikeforce, the event is currently expected to take place from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California on June 26.

i wouldnt call the stoppage of nick diaz impressive, diaz got cut and they said he couldnt continue, noons ducked him ever since.

Noons didn’t look great vs Amade but that may have been due to the broken foot plus inactivity. Hopefully SF doesn’t rush to give him top billing and lets him go through a couple of solid but not top guys. Jorge Gurgel would be a great fight for him.

Karl is not as good as he thinks, or others say. Sure he can strike, but as we all know, one-dimensional fighters are a thing of the past
