Exclusive: Will Kerr vs. Karen Darabedyan added to WEC 49

WEC 49 continues to look better and better as 5 Oz has recently been able to learn of yet another intriguing addition to the upcoming event.

Sources close to Will Kerr (8-2 MMA, 0-1 WEC) have revealed to that the hard hitting lightweight will meet Karen Darabedyan (9-2 MMA, 1-1 WEC) at WEC 49 in Edmonton on June 20.

Kerr looks to rebound after suffering TKO loss to Kamal Shalorus (6-0-1 MMA, 3-0 WEC) this past November at WEC 44. The loss snapped Kerr’s five fight win streak and was the first time he had been stopped since 2006.

Darabedyan is also looking to bounce back from a recent defeat. Darabedyan suffered his first loss in the WEC via arm bar at the hands of Bart Palaszewski (34-13 MMA, 4-2 WEC) at WEC 47.

Both fighters bring a heavy set of hands and excellent boxing skills to the cage. A victory for either will put them back track in the WEC lightweight division.

Josh Grispi vs. LC Davis
