UFC 116 Lesnar vs. Carwin Live Results

Headlining the card will be a heavyweight title unification bout between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, while middleweights Chris Leben and Yoshihiro Akiyama are set to duke it out in the co-headliner.
UFC 116 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
5 Oz‘ live coverage of the card will kick off at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) when the first pair of fighters touch gloves.
A preliminary broadcast is set to air on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET, while the main card is slated for 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

He’s eaten some nasty looking shots and just keeps popping up.
That was the only way he could have won this fight. He was definitely outclassed on his feet, but his ground game saved him.
Hope Seth isn’t too badly hurt. That shot of his elbow looks awful.

Great win by Romero and a good fight. He showed he can deal with real pressure and has got the heart to be in UFC. Hope the silverback’s arm is just a bit tender, not broken etc.

That was a NASTY slam. Not quite as bad as Rampage’s powerbomb, but definitely nastier than Tito’s slam of Tanner.

yeah this Pellegrino Sotiro fight is Sweet + so is Lariani!!!
I have Sotriopoulos winning that. Even with that nasty knockdown at the end. Batman may have taken round three, but I have Sotriopoulos winning the 1st and 2nd rounds with better striking and he did more on the ground. Pellegrino may have gotten more takedowns, but he was mostly neutralized by the guard.

Hope Brown didn’t wear his arms out going for that choke for so long.
Lytle looks surprisingly reinvigorated after all that.
Nice showing by Lytle. He’s got a really fan friendly fighting style on his feet, but he’s best when he remembers his ground game is pretty good as well.
Submission of the night by Lytle don’t know how he didn’t tap in 1st round. A fucking warrior!

Wow, can’t believe Akiyama let him up there. That’s definitely the place where Leben is weakest and Akiyama is strongest.
Akiyama has really nice Judo. If he can get in close to Leben and actually decides to use it, Leben could be in serious trouble.

What a fucking card one of the best I have seen. The amount of back and forth fights as well as the comebacks was crazy!! I was glued to the T.V!
Does anyone else think this was rigged. I have never seen anyone flop on their back like that and wait for the submission, especially for the title…in the second round. This is crap. I wouldnt put it past Dana White. He makes way more money off Lesnar than Carwin. What an embarrassment.
greatest card of the year, one of the best of recent memories. did prove a few things though in the main event
1. Neither Carwin or Lesnar is number 1 haha, that goes for Fedor too.
2. Lesnars blueprint is complete. stuff the shot and punch him in the face, great job carwin (for the most part.)
3. Carwin really does not have a gas tank, so imho Cain will break Brock on the feet, and if he stuffs the shot his GnP will be much more violent
4. Brock really needs to learn how to react to GnP, rolling up in a ball wont save him against Cain….

Great card, two fight of the year canidates on one ppv (Garcia/Korean Zombie still FotY imo). Love to see Bonner get the win, and even though Leben is a douche much respect for two big wins in less then a month. George looked great again, and should get a title shot by the end of next year if he keeps winning. For all the Brock haters out there; that first round was the best chance you had of seeing him lose. Cain has no chance, because he won’t be able to stop Brocks shot. Cain can’t knock Brock out, and he won’t be able to tap Brock either. Brocks reign as the number one HW in MMA starts now.
