James Wilks vs. Claude Patrick set for UFC 120
A welterweight match-up between TUF 9 Champion James Wilks and Claude Patrick has been booked for UFC 120.
News of the bout comes from Mauro Ranallo’s “The Fight Show,” citing sources close to the promotion.
UFC 120 is expected to take place from The O2 Arena in London on October 16.
Wilks (7-3) will be looking to improve upon a recent unanimous decision victory over Peter Sobotta following a TKO defeat at the hands of Matt Brown, while Patrick (12-1) is currently riding an 11-fight win streak that includes a successful UFC debut against Ricardo Funch where he won via guillotine choke.
Also expected for UFC 120, though yet to be made official through the promotion, is Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama and Carlos Condit vs. Dan Hardy.

every UFC card is free here in the UK (for now)
i cant imagine what it must be like to pay $50 to watch 3 hours of tv. just doesnt compute

i’m interested in seeing Claude Patrick again, he came in billed as a striker but outgrappled Funch, who’s supposed to have a good judo game (i think), Wilks has pretty good jits so this should be interesting. I think Patrick will take it, and i honestly don’t think he’ll be stopped until he faces one of the otehr contenders ie Thiago, Fitch Kampman, someone like that

I’m with boom. From all the things I’ve heard about Claude Patrick along with the way he steamrolled through Funch I think it’s a bad match up for Wilks. I’m pretty sure Claude is more of a submission guy but I keep reading how good the guy is so I’ll take him to win it.
