Baroni out, Dan Miller in against John Salter at UFC 118

With Phil Baroni out due to a collarbone injury, 6X UFC veteran Dan Miller will fill his shoes in facing off with John Salter at UFC 118.

UFC 118 is set to take place on August 28 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

News of Baroni’s injury was first reported by and Miller’s substitution was subsequently revealed by

Miller entered the UFC with a bang, racking up three consecutive wins before dropping his last three straight and will undoubtedly be fighting for survival in the promotion, while Salter has gone 1-1 since entering the UFC with a defeat at the hands of Gerald Harris and a recent victory over Jason MacDonald.

I think Miller gets the W here. He’s lost his last three, but they’ve all been decision losses to some of the division’s best. Sonnen, Bisping, and Maia aren’t necessarily embarrassing losses, especially when none of them managed to finish you.

And Salter hasn’t really won a fight in the UFC in my opinion. He may be 1-1 in the UFC, but his one “W” is because MacDonald broke his leg defending a takedown. I’m not really a fan of victories coming by injury in the 1st round.

Damn Phil missed his chance to even his record up to 13-13.
Salter is going to make Miller look silly. If Maia can beat Miller in stand up I reckon Salter can too. It is going to be 4 loses in a row and bye bye to Dan Miller.

Yea, i definitely have to feel like Dan Miller is a class above John Salter, i think is wrestling/jui jitsu mix equal a win here…honestly Logic, maybe you’re right but i don’t see how you can pick Salter here…

Hey Phil!-please stop fighting in the big leagues-regardless of which new jack you beat on in the gym you obviously are not goin to achieve any belt any time soon-and this is comin from a lifetime fan of yours

I love the tenacity of the Miller brothers-some of the toughest American fighters ever produced-I see Dan winning by decision on this one
