“Strikeforce – Houston” weigh-in results

Someone once said, “Everything in Texas is bigger.” Apparently a few of the fighters scheduled for tomorrow night’s “Strikeforce – Houston” event took that to heart, as more than one of the evening’s participants came in heavy. However, in the end, all were able to resolve the issue and each bout will take place as originally scheduled.

Most notably, KJ Noons weighed in a quarter-pound over the lightweight limit of 156 lbs. However, opponent Jorge Gurgel shrugged off the difference and as a result Noons was not required to drop the final fraction of a pound.

The official results of the weigh-in are as follows:

Chad Cook (205.25) vs. Arteneus Young (204)
Humberto DeLeon (127.25) vs. Chad Robichaux (131)
Jose Santibanez (154.25) vs. Reynaldo Trujillo (155.25)
Kier Gooch (155.5) vs. Adam Schindler (155.5)
Rocky Long (146.25 lbs) vs. Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhaes (144.5 lbs)*
Andre Galvao (170.75 lbs) vs. Jorge Patino (171 lbs)
Daniel Cormier (249 lbs) vs. Jason Riley (256.5)
Chad Griggs (228.5 lbs) vs. Bobby Lashley (246)

Tim Kennedy (185 lbs) vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (184.75 lbs)
Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (203.75 lbs) vs. Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante (203.5 lbs)
