UFC 119 made official as all fighters on target at weigh-ins

The lot of UFC 119 participants stepped on the scale yesterday afternoon and all made weight, meaning tonight’s PPV event will go on as originally scheduled.

Former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir will enter his bout against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic with a significant size advantage as many might have suspected would be the case in their match-up. Mir registered in at 252 pounds, a full twenty-five notches higher than the iconic PRIDE striker (who tipped the scale at 227 lbs).

In stark contrast, co-headlining light heavyweights Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira both came in at 205 on the dot for their fight. Bader will be looking to maintain his perfect record, currently 11-0, against the battle-tested Brazilian when the two lock up in the Octagon, while Nogueira has won his last seven straight with an overall record of 19-3.
