Polish middleweight Mamed Khalidov could be set to return to action this month after an absence from the ring dating back to a May draw against Ryuta Sakurai.
According to sources involved in the negotiations, Five Ounces of Pain has been able to confirm organizational officials are discussing the possibility of the 20-4-2 Khalidov joining the group of Sengoku fighters competing on December 30 at “SRC – Soul of Fight”.
Though no opponent has been mentioned, Khalidov did split a pair of past bouts with SRC middleweight champ Jorge Santiago who hasn’t fought since August and isn’t currently rumored for any specific match-ups in the immediate future, so fans can certainly still hope a “rubber-match” between the two talented fighters may reveal itself in the coming days.
Including a first-round knockout of Santiago in November 2009, Khalidov has finished nineteen of the twenty opponents he’s beaten including nine submissions and ten TKOs. He is 0-1-1 in 2010 but had emerged victorious in 17/18 fights prior (with the exception being a draw).

Watched the first 2 Khalidov vs Santiago fights and loved em. I hope the 3rd fight will be on Dec 30. I’ve been wanting the rubber match to happen for ages.

Hello …hello hello.
Wow there is an echo in here.
I guess nobody even knows who this guy is.
Shame.
He just needs Dana White to tell everybody he’s good and then people will be interested.
Shame.
