Bobby Lashley entering Titan FC 17 with significant weight advantage as expected

When former Strikeforce heavyweight Bobby Lashley steps into the ring later tonight at Titan FC 17 against adversary John Ott he will be doing with more than thirty-five pounds on the part-time middleweight who recently stepped in as a late replacement for his originally scheduled opponent. However, given the division’s structure the bout will of course go on as planned meaning fans can catch all the Titan FC action live tonight on HDNet starting at 10:00 PM EST.

Looking to bounce back from the first loss of his career, the 5-1 Lashley was chiseled at 252.5 pounds while Ott (8-7), noticeably smaller but not necessarily out of place, came in 215.5 clicks on the scale.

Fellow Titan FC 17 heavyweights Aaron Rosa (15-3) and Abe Wagner (8-3) won’t share such a massive differential when they clash on the main card. Rosa weighed 259.25 pounds with Wagner, coming off an upset win over former UFC heavyweight champ Tim Sylvia, measuring in at 255.5 respectively.

The card is also highlighted by 13-13 Phil Baroni’s promotional debut after making a name for himself through both showmanship and striking as a veteran with time in PRIDE, Strikeforce, and the UFC. In typical “New York Bad Ass” style Baroni showed up a little late while donned in leather and sunglasses while easily making weight at 183 pounds with his opponent, Nick Nolte (3-2), successfully taking the first step in the most important 48 hours of his career by also hitting his mark at 184.

All weights were rounded to the nearest quarter-pound.

There’s just no coming back from that.

Lashley should have a very easy lay n’pray win, but this is Ott’s chance to proove Lashley a fake. I personally don’t care how it goes down but I wold hope that Ott puts up a fight and takes it into the second. You never know though, after what happened last time, Ott might take it home.

Abe got a good win last time out, even though I agree with most that the stoppage was a little early. I hope he comes out and gives us all a big STFU performance.

You know this is building up to Lashley vs. Wagner for the belt in about 3 months, provided they both win.

Lashly vs Wagner would be a good fight, as Abe is about the same size and probably much faster. He might have some troubly with Bobbys wrestling though. Aaron Rosa is no pushover though.
