Tonight’s Strikeforce Challengers event set to go as all fighters make weight

The entire lot of competitors taking to the ring later this evening on Showtime for Strikeforce Challengers 15 stepped on the scale in Stockton, California on Thursday afternoon and proceeded without a hitch meaning the event will go on as originally scheduled.

The card will be headlined by a clash between talented lightweights as 10-3 wrestler Justin Wilcox puts his takedowns and top-control to the test against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt Rodrigo Damm (9-4). Wilcox came in slightly smaller at 155.25 pounds with Damm weighing 155.75 respectively.

Also featured on tonight’s show are twin brothers David Douglas and Damion Douglas who compete in different divisions. David, a lightweight, was 154 pounds on the dot for his bout with Caros Fodor who will have at least a pound-and-a-half advantage when the cage door closes as he weighed 155.5. Damion, a welterweight, was a svelt 168.5 with opponent Wayne Phillips clocking in at 170.25 pounds.

Fans can tune in to catch all the action live on Showtime starting at 11:00 PM EST (11:00 PM PST tape delayed on the West Coast).

    Good challengers card. The fights went off pretty well, but again bad judging. Fodor taking out Tarzan like he did was very impressive, but i’d say Tarzan needs to seriously work the cardio.
    Wayne SHOULD have won this fight but the judges gave it to Douglas for being able to get hit in the head more times and having bad takedown attempts I guess. Very good fight though for Wayne.
    Wilcox should get a legit guy in his next fight so congrats to him, Damm was overmatched and I am glad they didnt let it go on.
    Very odd moment where both main event fighters are out waiting to fight and the ringside doctors arn’t there. Fighters are waiting for about 5 minutes staring at each other but no DR.
