Bellator Season 4 Welterweight Tournament final set as Hieron and Hawn both make weight

After a brief break Bellator is back and ready to crown it’s first tournament champion tomorrow night in Oklahoma as welterweight finalists Jay Hieron and Rick Hawn square off in headlining action. Also set for the show, UFC/Strikeforce veteran Joe Riggs will make his promotional debut against Bellator veteran Bryan Baker while former WEC bantamweight title-holder Chase Beebe faces 9-4 submission specialist Jose Vega.

Fans can catch all the live Bellator 43 action Saturday night on MTV2 starting at 9:00 PM EST.

Read below for rundown of Bellator 43 weights as revealed thus far. All numbers have been rounded to the nearest quarter-pound:

Mike Schatz (155.75 lbs) vs. Michael Osborn (155.5 lbs)
Rich Bouphanouvong (178.25 lbs) vs. David Rickles (177.5 lbs)
Vince Lucero (263.5 lbs) vs. Ron Sparks (255.25 lbs)
Chase Beebe (136.5 lbs)* vs. Jose Vega (135.75 lbs)
Joe Riggs (184.5 lbs) vs. Bryan Baker (184 lbs)
Jay Hieron (170.75 lbs) vs. Rick Hawn (170.75 lbs)

* – Beebe has been given extra time to drop the necessary half-pound to make the bantamweight limit

    Why did I think Riggs was fighting exclusively at WW now? He’s got a tough opponent in Baker. I’m not leaning toward either fighter, I just hope it’s a good showing by both.

    I missed Hieron’s last fight so I checked it out after hearing all the negative talk about it. It wasn’t nearly as bad as call as some people made it out to be. I can definitely see why the judges gave him the fight, although I could have seen it go the other way too. I’ve been wanting Rick Hawn to win from the start though, so I’m pull for him.
