Zelg Galesic latest middleweight added to Bellator Season 5 Tournament

Bellator Fighting Championships got one step closer to finalizing the entire field for next season’s 185-pound tournament earlier today with the announcement Zelg Galesic had signed on to participate this fall as one of the eight men competing in Season 5 for a six-figure payday and opportunity to face middleweight champ Hector Lombard.

“I see Bellator as a place to really make a major name for myself in the United States,” Galesic explained. “I’m extremely excited to compete in the upcoming Bellator Middleweight Tournament. I’m even more excited to win the whole thing.”

The fast-starting Croatian, who has yet to see a judges’ scorecard in fifteen professional fights or even the third round for more than five years, recently returned in victorious fashion this past March after more than year away from the ring due to injury issues. Galesic holds an overall record of 10-5 with eight TKOs and two submissions including a win over Magomed Sultanakhmedov.

Galesic makes for the seventh middleweight scheduled for a Season 5 stint with the other six being Vitor Vianna, Jared Hess, Brian Rogers. Sam Alvey, Alexander Shlemenko, and Bryan Baker.
