“Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum” official as featured fighters make weight

After months of waiting the first round of the Strikeforce World Grand Prix is on the cusp of concluding with the remaining quartet of quarterfinalists ready to throw down tomorrow night in Dallas, Texas at “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum”.

The event is headlined by top seeds Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum revisiting their rivalry after the Brazilian BJJer submitted Overeem five years ago at a PRIDE event. On the other side, Josh Barnett returns to the ring with former title-contender Brett Rogers standing in his way of advancing in the tournament.

The foursome finalized their respective match-ups earlier today when the group, along with the rest of the fighters set to scrap on Saturday evening, stepped on the scale and made weight.
