Caros Fodor cruises, Ryan Couture handed first loss at Strikeforce Challengers 16

Strikeforce Challengers 16 is now in the books with the potential-laden lineup delivering a night of entertaining though not necessarily conclusive clashes. All five of the main card match-ups went to decision.

Headliner Caros Fodor improved his record 9-2 after bloodying up James Terry early and maintaining his aggressive pace from start to finish to earn the nod on all three judges’ scorecards. The win marked Fodor’s fourth straight victory.

Also among the evening’s numerous outpointings was Ryan Couture‘s hotly contested bout against opponent Matt Ricehouse that ultimately saw Couture fall for the first time in his young career. The two lightweight prospects went toe-to-toe for three rounds with the now 5-0 Ricehouse controlling the bulk of the stand-up and fending off all of Couture’s attempts to grapple.

Ricehouse looked pretty good, nd Ryan is still very young in the sport, and now he doesnt have to live up to a undefeated record. Good card last night, Fodor impressed again.
