The old saying, “The more things change the more they stay the same,” rings true for the UFC this weekend with a show being held on a Sunday also featuring multiple fighters debuting at a lighter weight than normal and a few late changes to the lineup. However, despite the day, drama, or divisional differences, the card boasts one of the strongest groupings of athletes outside of a PPV card in recent history and should be packed with entertaining moments once things are said and done.
Headlined by hard-hitting Pat Barry in action against French kickboxer Cheick Kongo, as well as featuring Charlie Brenneman stepping in at the last minute to face rising star Rick Story, UFC Live 4 has something for everyone including former 155ers Tyson Griffin and Joe Stevenson translating their strengths to featherweight for the first time with the former mixing it up with Manny Gamburyan and the latter against Javier Vazquez.
All the athletes set for Sunday’s show stepped on the scale earlier today and despite the last minute change to Story’s scrap all fighter made their marks meaning the show will go on as semi-planned.
