“Summer Series” Semifinals ready to go as all remaining fighters make weight

The second round of Bellator’s “Summer Series” tournament featuring semifinal action from the remaining quartet of 145ers is only a day away from taking place and undoubtedly delivering what is sure to be an entertaining offering for fans!

The entire lot of competitors stepped on the scale in hopes hitting their marks for tomorrow night’s show with all main card competitors making weight meaning the televised event will go on as originally planned.

Bellator 47 is highlighted by sensational Brit Ronnie Mann taking on former lightweight star Pat Curran on one side of the “Summer Series” bracket with South American grapplers Marlon Sandro and Nazareno Malegarie dueling it out on the other with all four men hoping to eventually secure Bellator’s trademark six-figure paycheck and title-shot attached to tournament championships. Curran came in as the biggest in the group at 146 pounds, while Mann was actually the smallest at 144.75 pounds. Comparably, Malegarie and Sandro both matched each other at 145.5 pounds.

Other scheduled fights include Chris Horodecki vs. Chris Saunders and Neil Grove vs. Zak Jensen. Fans can catch all the action Saturday evening on MTV2 starting at 9:00 PM EST.
