Bobby Lashley in need of new opponent at Shark Fights 21

Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley is without an opponent once again, as Dave Huckaba was forced to withdraw from their planned fight for the Shark Fights heavyweight title at Shark Fights 21.

Shark Fights 21 is set to take place November 11 from the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas. The event will air via tape-delay on FUEL TV on December 23.

Lashley (6-1) was originally set to meet Darrill Schoonover, but a shoulder injury knocked the former Ultimate Fighter cast member out of the fight. It was also rumored Lashley would meet Tim Hague, but Shark Fight officials denied those reports.

Huckaba was to be the first of three signed fights for Lashley with the Texas-based promotion. He last won while competing for Titan Fighting Championships, defeating John Ott.

News of the change was first reported by MMAJunkie.

A replacement for Huckaba, assuming the organization is seeking one, has not been announced.
