Two fights have been booked for the prelim card of the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine card, which is scheduled for January 7 from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will be headlined by Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold defending his title against Keith Jardine.
Nah-Shon Burrell will put his 7-1 career record on the line against James Terry in a welterweight bout, while Trevor Smith and Gian Villante tangle in the light heavyweight ranks.
Burrell enters on a five-fight win streak, which includes two victories while competing for Strikeforce. Terry (11-3) recently fought as a lightweight, going 1-1. He now returns to welterweight, where he began his career.
Smith (9-1) is seeking his third victory in Strikeforce, with the first two coming in the Challengers series. Villante (8-3) is 0-2 in the promotion.
The entire prelim card will be televised by Showtime Extreme, while the main card is featured on Showtime. This is part of the new Strikeforce-Showtime agreement, which was reached this past month.
