UFC 141 Countdown special shows focused foursome in Lesnar, Overeem, Cerrone, and Diaz

Two of the biggest heavyweights in the world will collide next Friday night at UFC 141, as Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem meet in an epic battle to become the #1 contender.

As has been the case for the majority of major UFC events, the fight promotion put together a Countdown special for the event that aired recently on FUEL TV. The show follows both former champions as they prepare to face off against each other on December 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lesnar, who has been out for over a year to do another bout of diverticulitis, was quoted as saying during the show, “I don’t even know the guy (Overeem). Never heard of him. To my understanding, he was a champion of some other company.”

The former WWE superstar was right, but Overeem is in fact the former title-holder in three companies: K-1, Strikeforce and DREAM.

Along with Lesnar-Overeem, UFC 141 will feature Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone in a lightweight co-main event war.

I think they should have focused more on Cerrone/Diaz IMO.. that fight alone is worth the cost of ordering the PPV..
