Johnny Bedford-Mitch Gagnon bout pulled off UFC on FOX 2 lineup

UFC on FOX 2 has been forced to re-shuffle its lineup at the last second due to a paperwork issue after bantamweight Mitch Gagnon was unable to obtain his visa to enter the U.S. from Canada in time for his fight. Gagnon was set to face Johnny Bedford on the televised prelims. In place of Bedford-Gagnon, the heavyweight bout between Joey Beltran and Lavar Johnson will receive additional coverage leaving only Dustin Jacoby-Chris Camozzi as the lone Facebook-only streamed fight.

Bedford, who took part in the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter, downed Louis Gaudinot in his Octagon debut at the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Despite the cancellation of the bout it appears Bedford will still be paid his show money.

MMAWeekly was first to report the change.

UFC on FOX 2 takes place this Saturday night in Chicago with a triple-shot of high-caliber action on FOX in the form of Demian Maia vs. Chris Weidman, Michael Bisping vs. Chael Sonnen, and Phil Davis vs. Rashad Evans. The main card starts on FOX at 8:00 PM EST with FX carrying the prelims beforehand.
