Ultimate Fighter Season 2 champion Joe “Daddy” Stevenson has signed a multi-fight contract with Nebraska’s Resurrection Fighting Alliance.
Stevenson is coming off of his UFC release after winning five of his first six fights inside the Octagon to earn a bout with then lightweight champion B.J. Penn. However, went in a downward spiral following a bloody, one-sided loss to Penn, dropping seven of his last ten tussles including his current four-fight slide.
Stevenson’s debut with the RFA is unknown at this time though matchmaker Scott Cutbirth said a target of late spring or early summer is being looked at.
“We are very excited to have him as he brings a never-say-die, in-your-face approach to MMA that the fans love,” said Cutbirth, confirming Stevenson’s addition to the organization’s roster in a recent interview with MMAValor.
No word was offered on what weight-class he’ll compete in.
Stevenson will join fellow UFC veterans Houston Alexander and Gilbert Yvel in the fight promotion.
