It appears a pair of talented bantamweights will face off against each other for the upcoming UFC on Fuel 3 card, as Jeff Curran and Johnny Eduardo have been linked to a bout on the May 15 card.
Curran won four of five fights to earn a shot in the UFC but was defeated by Scott Jorgensen via decision at UFC 137. He is a former challenger to the WEC title and holds a career record of 33-14-1 over several years of action.
Comparably, the 25-9 Eduardo had an eleven-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Raphael Assuncao this past August. He has earned thirteen wins via submission during his 15-year career.
MMAJunkie was the first to report the fight.
UFC on Fuel 3 will emanate live from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The main event is set to feature featherweight contenders Dustin Poirier-Chan Sung Jung in a match-up likely to move the winner within a single victory of a title-shot.
