The UFC’s summer stop in Atlantic City bulked up overnight like a “gorilla juicehead” getting ready for a summer down at the Jersey Shore with the addition of multiple match-ups including a particularly interesting welterweight pairing between Rick Story and Rich Attonito. Each will be looking to bounce back from a loss and is known for employing an aggressive strategy inside the cage meaning fans should be in for a treat when UFC on FX 4 rolls around on June 22.
Also confirmed by the UFC were clashes between T.J. Waldburger-Brian Ebersole, Nick Catone-Chris Camozzi, and Matthew Riddle-Luis Ramos. UFC on FX 4 is headlined by a five-round fight between top lightweights Clay Guida-Gray Maynard.
The 13-5 Story recently had a six-fight winning streak snapped with back-to-back losses to Charlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann. However, with past wins over Thiago Alves and Johny Hendricks there’s no doubt the 27-year old has what it takes to beat the division’s best, giving local product Attonito the stiffest test of his career in front of his hometown fans.
Attonito has gone 3-2 since a stint on TUF 11 but was knocked out with elbows in his previous appearance this past December. The 10-5 “Raging Bull” has six stoppages to his credit including four TKOs.
