Ross Pearson-Cub Swanson slated to scrap at UFC on FX 4

A pair of featherweights out to climb to the top of the UFC rankings will meet at UFC on FX 4, as Ross Pearson and Cub Swanson have signed on the dotted line for a fight at the June 22 event.

UFC on FX 4 takes place from Atlantic City, New Jersey with the main event comprised of Clay Guida colliding with Gray Maynard in a five-round fight. It is possible that Pearson-Swanson receive a spot alongside the featured match-ups though nothing has been confirmed yet.

The bout was announced earlier today by the UFC.

Pearson (13-5) won The Ultimate Fighter 6, defeating teammate Andre Winner in the finals. He recently dropped down to featherweight, defeating Junior Assuncao to close out 2011 in his divisional debut.

Swanson (16-5) earned his first UFC victory since joining the promotion from the WEC by topping George Roop earlier this year.

I look forward to this one… Hard to pick a winner in my opinion, Cub fought with a lot of emotion last time out & it seemed to work out well for him but Ross seems to always bring that fire into the cage, hope these guys steal the show…let emm bang!
