Brock Lesnar reportedly headed back to WWE

It appears that Brock Lesnar will head back to the place he first made a name for himself – the WWE. Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champ, is is reported to be in Miami right now where Wrestlemania 28 will be held this evening.

After a career that saw him skyrocket to notoriety in the WWE, Lesnar left citing the grind of travel and attempted a run in the NFL. However, while he showed promise, the venture ended after he failed to make any team’s opening game roster and Lesnar decided on giving MMA a go.

Early in his UFC career, Lesnar was given a chance at the heavyweight title and succeeded, defeating Randy Couture to win the strap. Unfortuantely, illness over the past few years stymied Lesnar’s ability to train at 100% and he announced his retirement following a loss to Alistair Overeem late in 2011.

A report filed by the Wrestling Observer states Lesnar has signed a one-year contract WWE and could show up as early as tonight’s annual PPV extravaganza. UFC President Dana White told reporters earlier in the week that he was fine with Lesnar returning to the WWE and that his UFC contract was no longer in effect.

Brock proved that natural talent , top notch wrestling and brute force can cover up lack of experience. He showed he could be a champion and has nothing left to prove to MMA.

I think if he would have started training MMA when he was first in WWE he would have been damn near unstoppable.

I see no shame in returning to WWE.

Guys like Bas said he was making MMA look like a laughing stock. Mad Hatter Brock proved exactly the opposite. He proved natural ability was not enough. His last 2 against Overeem and Cain showed that he didnt even deserve to be in the cage with them.
First off he should never have got a shot against the guy who should never have got a shot. His 4th MMA fight was for the biggest MMA belt there is. He fought a guy who got his shot coming off off a loss in the weight below. Just wrong. He didnt show he could be champ, he only beat 1 guy as champ and thats becuz the guy gassed punching Lesnar in the face as he turtled and cowered in a ball. The whole Lesnar era was unfortunate. He should have had at least 10 MMA fights before being considered for a shot but he had $$$$$$ pooring out his ass so he got the shot.
