Professional wrestler-turned-Mixed Martial Artist Bobby Lashley will travel to India for his next fight, signing to meet James Thompson at Super Fight League 3. The card will take place in New Delhi on May 6 and will stream live on YouTube.
Lashley (7-1) is an ex-Strikeforce competitor who will be looking for his third straight win in the scrap. He was rumored as a possible opponent for Fedor Emelianenko in June but that appears off the table with the Thompson signing. Five of his wins have involved some form of finish.
Comparably, Thompson (17-14) defeated Bob Sapp on the first SFL card with a lackluster submission in the opening round. He too is coming off back-to-back wins.
In addition to Thompson-Lashley, SFL also announced bouts between Trevor Prangley-Baga Agaev and Zelg Galesic-Doug Marshall for the event.
